Kimberly Taylor is the CEO and head boss lady of Taylor Collective Solutions. Kim’s expertise includes project management/cat herding, strategic communications social networking and happy hour connoisseur, media and community relations, and an eye for excellent team members.
With over 25 years of experience under her belt, Kim has worked in all levels of the public and private sectors. Her experience is vast and diverse; she has done everything from high-level project management to being the boots on the ground for campaigning fieldwork. Not being one to be afraid of getting her hands dirty, Kim has managed multi-year issue and media campaigns, implemented strategic corporate plans, and raised a whole lot of cash in individual and corporate sponsorships. Her loyalty to worthy causes has driven her to major successes.
Being the proactive firecracker that she is, Kim assisted in the planning and management of two of the largest marches and concerts you have ever seen on the Mall in U.S. history. These two monumental events were 2000 Million Mom March and the 2004 March for Women’s Lives – both boasted more that 1 million people from across the U.S. in attendance. During her time in Washington D.C., Kimworked/motivated/collaborated for many worthy projects such as the Children’s Defense Fund and Unity ’98. Passing the lifesaving, now infamous Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). Kim had the unique opportunity to work with many key politicians like President Clinton and Vice President Gore, Senators Kennedy, Webb and Sanders. When Kim Taylor is on the team, people know they will get the best results. Kimgot her first taste of communications and PR while at the Podesta Group, there Kim worked with some groups you might have heard of such as the Annie E Casey Foundation’s Kids Count Program, Universal Motion Picture Association, AT&T and Microsoft  just to name a few.
Just in case you didn’t know already, Kim has always been involved politically. She had the great honor of working with Gloria Steinem, Michael Moore, Richard Schiff, Timothy Roth, Juliane Moore, Rosie O’Donnell  (to name-drop a few) celebrities nationwide for organizations such as the Planned Parenthood Action Fund (501c(4) and PAC) and the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence. She was responsible for raising over $13 million campaign money (Whoa, before evil forces destroyed campaign finance regulations that was a lot!) during the 2004 cycle to fight the good fight. Kim has worked with hundreds of political and visionary leaders at all levels of government and celebrity in the U.S. for various industries and causes.
After all of this the one key thing you can take away is the Kim is the organization match-maker. She has the nose of pairing people with causes like no other. With this super power, Kim can identify and facilitate relationships that are beneficial and prosperous to all parties involved. Kim was born in the Texan heat, raised in the coolness of Denver, Colorado. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and mind-reading, just ask Anne, from the University of Colorado, Denver. She found her passion for politics and progressive causes while working as a social worker with at-risk adolescents and abused children. After ten years in the ring of the political capital of the world, Washington, D.C., Kim now resides in Austin, Texas with her husband and two children. Kim is active in national and Texas politics and volunteers her time on numerous boards and committees.
